Michael Buffham-Wade is a Board Advisor to several mid-cap businesses. He is former Chief Marketing Officer for NatWest’s Commercial & Institutional Banking business, ex- Vice President of International Marketing & Loyalty for the Virgin Voyages business. Michael joined Virgin Group as the Director of Experience responsible for customers across the Group’s loyalty membership initiatives globally. This role included oversight and accountability for customer journeys, engagement marketing, research and insight, global customer service models and centres, and product and proposition innovation.
Michael started his career in television production working for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, before moving into financial services marketing and customer strategy roles in general insurance, retail and private wealth banking, structured finance, and investment banking. His experience has always centred around research-based insights into customer needs and designing products and journey experiences to deepen customer relationships through communication, process engineering, digitisation and data.
