TRAVELLING DIRECTIONS - ABM ESSENTIALS COURSE

The training course is held at etc.venues 50-52 Chancery Ln, London WC2A 1HL. For delegates who are attending the training, please refer to the alternative routes below.

From Liverpool Street (1.2 miles)

Elizabeth Line and Walking:

• Take the Elizabeth Line from Liverpool Street Station to Farringdon Station. This is a direct line and takes about 2-3 minutes.
• From Farringdon Station, walk to 50-52 Chancery Lane. It’s approximately a 10-minute walk (about 0.5 miles).

Bus Option (No Tube Involved):

• Step 1: Walk to the Bishopsgate stop (near Liverpool Street).
• Step 2: Take Bus 25 towards Oxford Circus.
• Step 3: Get off at Holborn Circus / Fetter Lane.
• Step 4: Walk about 3 minutes (approximately 0.2 miles) to 50-52 Chancery Lane.

Walking Route 1 (Direct):

• Distance: Approximately 1.4 miles
• Estimated Time: Around 30 minutes
• Directions:
• Exit Liverpool Street Station and head west on Liverpool Street.
• Turn left onto Bishopsgate, then right onto New Broad Street.
• Continue onto Old Broad Street, then turn left onto London Wall.
• Walk along London Wall until you reach Aldersgate Street.
• Turn right onto Aldersgate Street and continue straight as it becomes St. Martin's Le Grand.
• Turn left onto Holborn Viaduct.
• Continue straight onto New Fetter Lane, then turn right onto Chancery Lane.
• Walk a short distance, and you’ll reach 50-52 Chancery Lane.

Walking Route 2 (Scenic Route via St. Paul’s Cathedral):

• Distance: Approximately 1.6 miles
• Estimated Time: Around 35 minutes
• Directions:
• Exit Liverpool Street Station and head west on Liverpool Street.
• Turn left onto Bishopsgate, then right onto Threadneedle Street.
• Continue onto Cornhill, then follow signs for Bank and St. Paul’s Cathedral.
• Pass by the Bank of England, then head west on Cheapside.
• Walk straight, and you’ll see St. Paul’s Cathedral on your left.
• Continue along Ludgate Hill and turn right onto Fetter Lane.
• Turn left onto Chancery Lane, and 50-52 Chancery Lane will be on your right.

 

Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service:

• Get a taxi or use Uber  from Liverpool Street Station to 50-52 Chancery Lane.
• Estimated Travel Time: About 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
   

From Waterloo (1 mile)

Elizabeth Line and Walking:

• Step 1: Take the Elizabeth Line from Waterloo East to Farringdon Station (requires a short walk to Waterloo East from Waterloo main station). The Elizabeth Line ride is approximately 7 minutes.
• Step 2: From Farringdon Station, walk to 50-52 Chancery Lane. It’s about a 10-minute walk (0.5 miles).

Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service:

• Get a taxi or use Uber from Waterloo Station to 50-52 Chancery Lane.
• Estimated Travel Time: Around 15-25 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Bus Option (No Tube Involved):

• Step 1: Walk to the bus stop "Waterloo Station/Mepham Street" (about 3 minutes from the station).
• Step 2: Take Bus 341 towards Angel or Bus 243 towards Wood Green.
• Step 3: Get off at Fetter Lane / Holborn Circus.
• Step 4: Walk about 3 minutes (0.2 miles) to 50-52 Chancery Lane.

Walking Route 1 (Direct):

• Distance: Approximately 1.4 miles
• Estimated Time: Around 30 minutes

Directions:

• Exit Waterloo Station and head north on Waterloo Road.
• Cross Waterloo Bridge, continuing straight until you reach Aldwych.
• Follow Aldwych to the right and then continue onto Kingsway.
• Turn left onto High Holborn.
• Continue onto Chancery Lane, and 50-52 Chancery Lane will be on your left.

Walking Route 2 (Scenic Route via Covent Garden):

• Distance: Approximately 1.7 miles
• Estimated Time: Around 35 minutes

Directions:

• Exit Waterloo Station and head north on Waterloo Road.
• Cross Waterloo Bridge and continue straight.
• Turn left onto the Strand and walk towards Covent Garden.
• From Covent Garden, head northwest on Long Acre and turn right onto Kingsway.
• Continue on Kingsway and turn left onto High Holborn.
• Turn right onto Chancery Lane, and 50-52 Chancery Lane will be on your left.
   

From London Bridge (1.2 miles)

Elizabeth Line and Walking:

• Step 1: Take the Thameslink from London Bridge to Farringdon Station. This journey takes about 5-6 minutes.
• Step 2: From Farringdon Station, walk to 50-52 Chancery Lane, approximately a 10-minute walk (0.5 miles).

Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service:
Step 1: Get a taxi or use Uber from London Bridge Station to 50-52 Chancery Lane.
Estimated Travel Time: Around 15-25 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Bus Option (No Tube Involved):

• Step 1: Walk to the bus stop "London Bridge Station" (about 2 minutes from the station).
• Step 2: Take Bus 17 towards Archway.
• Step 3: Get off at Fetter Lane / Holborn Circus.
• Step 4: Walk about 3 minutes (0.2 miles) to 50-52 Chancery Lane.

Walking Route 1 (Direct):

• Distance: Approximately 1.6 miles
• Estimated Time: Around 30-35 minutes

Directions:

• Exit London Bridge Station and head northwest on Borough High Street.
• Cross London Bridge and continue straight onto King William Street.
• Follow King William Street, then continue onto Cheapside.
• Turn left onto New Change and walk towards St. Paul’s Cathedral.
• From St. Paul’s, continue on Ludgate Hill, then turn right onto Fetter Lane.
• Turn left onto Chancery Lane, and 50-52 Chancery Lane will be on your right.

Walking Route 2 (Scenic Route via the South Bank):

• Distance: Approximately 2 miles
• Estimated Time: Around 40 minutes

Directions:

• Exit London Bridge Station and head towards the South Bank.
• Walk along the South Bank of the River Thames, passing landmarks like the Tate Modern and the Millennium Bridge.
• Cross the Thames via Blackfriars Bridge.
• Continue onto New Bridge Street and then turn left onto Fleet Street.
• Walk up Fleet Street and turn right onto Fetter Lane.
• Finally, turn left onto Chancery Lane, and 50-52 Chancery Lane will be on your right.

From Paddington (2.9 miles)

Elizabeth Line and Walking:

• Step 1: Take the Elizabeth Line from Paddington Station to Farringdon Station. This journey takes about 10 minutes.
• Step 2: From Farringdon Station, walk to 50-52 Chancery Lane, approximately a 10-minute walk (0.5 miles).

  Step 1: Get a taxi or use Uber from Paddington Station to 50-52 Chancery Lane.
  Estimated Travel Time: About 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Bus Option (No Tube Involved):

• Step 1: Walk to the bus stop "Paddington Station / Eastbourne Terrace" (about 2 minutes from the station).
• Step 2: Take Bus 23 towards Liverpool Street.
• Step 3: Get off at Aldwych / Drury Lane.
• Step 4: Walk about 10 minutes (0.5 miles) to 50-52 Chancery Lane.

Walking Route 1 (Direct):

• Distance: Approximately 2.7 miles
• Estimated Time: Around 50-55 minutes

Directions:

• Exit Paddington Station and head east on Praed Street.
• Continue onto Edgware Road and then turn right onto Oxford Street.
• Follow Oxford Street until you reach Tottenham Court Road.
• Turn right onto New Oxford Street and continue straight.
• Follow High Holborn and turn right onto Chancery Lane.
• 50-52 Chancery Lane will be on your left.

Walking Route 2 (Scenic Route via Hyde Park and Mayfair):

• Distance: Approximately 3.1 miles
• Estimated Time: Around 1 hour

Directions:

• Exit Paddington Station and head south towards Hyde Park.
• Walk through Hyde Park towards the southeast, exiting near the Wellington Arch.
• Continue through Mayfair, heading east on Piccadilly.
• Follow Piccadilly and turn left onto St. James’s Street, then continue towards Trafalgar Square.
• From Trafalgar Square, walk up the Strand towards Aldwych.
• Turn left onto Kingsway and then right onto High Holborn.
• Turn left onto Chancery Lane, and 50-52 Chancery Lane will be on your left.
   

From Blackfriars (1 mile)

Elizabeth Line and Walking:

• Step 1: Take the Thameslink from Blackfriars Station to Farringdon Station. The journey takes about 3-4 minutes.
• Step 2: From Farringdon Station, walk to 50-52 Chancery Lane, approximately a 10-minute walk (0.5 miles).

 

Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service:

• Step 1: Get a taxi or use Uber from Blackfriars Station to 50-52 Chancery Lane.
• Estimated Travel Time: About 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.

Bus Option (No Tube Involved):

• Step 1: Walk to the bus stop "Blackfriars Station / North Entrance" (about 2 minutes from the station).
• Step 2: Take Bus 63 towards King's Cross.
• Step 3: Get off at Fetter Lane / Holborn Circus.
• Step 4: Walk about 3 minutes (0.2 miles) to 50-52 Chancery Lane.

Walking Route 1 (Direct):

• Distance: Approximately 0.8 miles
• Estimated Time: Around 15-20 minutes

Directions:

• Exit Blackfriars Station and head north on New Bridge Street.
• Turn left onto Fleet Street.
• Continue on Fleet Street and then turn right onto Fetter Lane.
• Turn left onto Chancery Lane, and 50-52 Chancery Lane will be on your right.

Walking Route 2 (Scenic Route via Victoria Embankment):

• Distance: Approximately 1 mile
• Estimated Time: Around 20-25 minutes

Directions:

• Exit Blackfriars Station and walk towards the Victoria Embankment.
• Walk along the river on the Victoria Embankment heading west.
• Turn right onto Temple Avenue, and continue up towards Fleet Street.
• Turn left onto Fleet Street, then right onto Fetter Lane.
• Finally, turn left onto Chancery Lane, and 50-52 Chancery Lane will be on your right.
   

From King's Cross (1.6 miles)

Elizabeth Line and Walking:

• Step 1: Take the Elizabeth Line from King's Cross St Pancras to Farringdon Station. This journey takes about 2-3 minutes.
• Step 2: From Farringdon Station, walk to 50-52 Chancery Lane, which is approximately a 10-minute walk (0.5 miles).

Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service:

• Step 1: Get a taxi or use from King's Cross Station to 50-52 Chancery Lane.
• Estimated Travel Time: Around 10-20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Bus Option (No Tube Involved):

• Step 1: Walk to the bus stop "King's Cross Station / Euston Road" (about 3 minutes from the station).
• Step 2: Take Bus 45 towards Clapham Park or Bus 63 towards Honor Oak.
• Step 3: Get off at Fetter Lane / Holborn Circus.
• Step 4: Walk about 3 minutes (0.2 miles) to 50-52 Chancery Lane.

Walking Route 1 (Direct):

• Distance: Approximately 1.2 miles
• Estimated Time: Around 25-30 minutes

Directions:

• Exit King's Cross Station and head south on Gray's Inn Road.
• Continue straight on Gray's Inn Road for about 0.8 miles.
• Turn right onto High Holborn.
• Continue for a short distance, then turn left onto Chancery Lane.
• 50-52 Chancery Lane will be on your left.

Walking Route 2 (Scenic Route via Russell Square and Bloomsbury):

• Distance: Approximately 1.6 miles
• Estimated Time: Around 35 minutes

Directions:

• Exit King's Cross Station and head west towards Euston Road.
• Walk along Euston Road to Russell Square.
• Continue through Russell Square, heading south towards Bloomsbury Square.
• From Bloomsbury Square, walk down High Holborn.
• Turn right onto Chancery Lane, and 50-52 Chancery Lane will be on your left.
   

From Farringdon (0.7 mile)

Directions:

• Exit Farringdon Station onto Cowcross Street.
• Turn right onto Farringdon Road, and walk south for about 5 minutes.
• Turn left onto Charterhouse Street, continue straight, and cross over Holborn Circus.
• Continue onto Holborn for a short distance.
• Turn right onto Chancery Lane and walk down until you reach 50-52 Chancery Lane.
• Estimated Travel Time: About 12 - 15  minutes

Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service:

• Get a taxi or use Uber from Farringdon Station to 50-52 Chancery Lane.
• Estimated Travel Time: About 7 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
   

From City Thameslink (0.6 mile)

Directions:

• Exit City Thameslink: Leave the station using the Ludgate Hill exit (North Bank side).
• Head east on Ludgate Hill: Walk towards Fleet Street. This will involve a slight right turn onto Fleet Street.
• Continue on Fleet Street: Walk along Fleet Street for about 0.3 miles (approximately 5-7 minutes).
• Turn left onto Chancery Lane: You will find Chancery Lane on your left. Turn onto it and continue walking.
• Arrive at 50-52 Chancery Lane: It will be on your right after about 2-3 minutes' walk down the lane.
