Bio
Lowri Morgan is a BAFTA-winning broadcaster, world-class ultra-endurance athlete, and acclaimed motivational speaker renowned for her extraordinary resilience and pioneering spirit. Overcoming a career-threatening injury in her youth, she defied medical expectations to become a national-level rugby player and cross-country runner, later pushing the boundaries of human endurance in some of the planet’s most extreme environments.
Lowri is one of only a handful of athletes—and the sole finisher in 2011—to complete the gruelling 350-mile 6633 Ultra Marathon in the Arctic, enduring temperatures as low as -40°C and 70 mph winds. She also secured a top-10 finish in the Amazon Jungle Ultra Marathon, a 140-mile race through sweltering rainforest terrain. In 2016, as part of Wales’ Year of Adventure, she became the first person to run from North to South Wales via the country’s highest peaks in just 60 hours, completing the 150-mile “333 Challenge” and setting the Fastest Known Time.
Her achievements extend beyond running: Lowri was part of the first all-female crew to win the Three Peaks Challenge, combining sailing, mountain climbing, and long-distance running. She has also completed Ironman triathlons, skydived, skied some of the world’s toughest mountains, and is among a select few to have dived to the wreck of the Titanic.
As a broadcaster, Lowri has presented major sporting events including the Six Nations, World Rally Championship, and BBC’s Scrum V. Her adventure documentaries have earned critical acclaim, winning Best Presenter and Best Documentary Series at the BAFTA Cymru Awards.
She was appointed an Honorary Fellow of Swansea University, recognised by the Queen for her services to adventure, and is currently an ambassador for Cerebral Palsy Cymru.
